A rare glimpse into WWII-era humor and home-front correspondence, this original Army Laffs linen postcard folder was published by Curt Teich & Co., Inc. of Chicago—one of America’s most prolific and respected postcard printers.

Issued around 1941, these accordion-fold “comic mailers” were sold at military posts and PX stores, offering soldiers a way to send levity and connection back home during a time of great uncertainty. Each colorful panel captures the exaggerated cartoon style and spirited humor of the early 1940s, printed on genuine C.T. Art-Colortone linen stock.

Preserved beautifully with vivid color, crisp folds, and only light wear consistent with age, this piece remains an extraordinary artifact of wartime morale and communication.
